Sizing, the number of choices, and comfort were the most common concerns among first-time buyers.
Q: What concerns or difficulties did you have when choosing an adult diaper for the first time?
Users reported that they didn’t know what size to get, that they didn’t know how to choose with all the options, and that they didn’t know whether the diapers would be comfortable.
In trying to select the best product, caregivers were frequently overwhelmed by the options and were unsure about sizing and comfort, since they wouldn’t be the ones wearing them.

What advice do you have for people trying to choose an adult diaper for the first time?
Respondents advised first-time buyers to pick a product with good absorbency and that won’t leak, that’s gentle on the skin, that’s easy to get on and off, that won’t bunch up, and that is thin like underwear.
They all felt that it was important to try different products in order to find a comfortable diaper that was right for both caregivers and users.
